"Calling the city Frisco, or not, to this day is a reflection of your relationship to the culture, the people, and the land. Regardless of the attempts to remove the city's working class nickname, it will be Frisco forever, and we are on Ohlone land."

The Author

Marcus Mason

Marcus Mason is a writer and multimedia artist born and raised in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. With a background in poetry, Marcus hyper-focused on his screen-writing classes at UC Santa Barbara, and ultimately decided his life path as a story-teller.

Out of college he went from working in casting for the television industry, to political news media as an assistant for a journalist and editor. While dedicating much of his free time to friends and family, Marcus has also found a passion for producing and directing music videos, making custom clothing pieces, and writing/directing sketches.

For a story teller, much of his remains untold. He is rumored to be working on a novel, and short film, to be released sometime in the next 100 years.
